Warm weather is upon us, and popping up along with the wildflowers are yard sale signs. If you are someone who enjoys finding treasures at yard sales, garage sales, or estate sales you will be excited to hear the annual valley wide yard sale held in Indian Valley this coming this May. This event is a great opportunity to reconnect with old friends and meet new neighbors, all while finding treasures along the way. Eva Gorman, chairman of the event, and long time resident, emphasized the importance of connection within the community after the devastating Dixie Fire. “This is a wonderful opportunity to not only replace and acquire items, but to slow down and connect with each other. After several years of traumatic experiences with COVID and the Dixie Fire, our community members appreciate the companionship of each other more than ever.”
For 20 years the Indian valley Chamber of Commerce has been hosting this event, bringing people from all around Plumas County to the scenic valley where they can enjoy the beautiful views while scavenging for treasures all along the way. Whether you’re looking for antiques or tools, with so many sales happening at once, there’s bound to be something for everyone! The event is Saturday-Sunday, May 20-21, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., throughout the communities of Indian Valley. Maps will be available at local businesses and online at www.indianvalleychamber.org
